It is getting close to that time of year where the Christmas markets open up in Salzburg and the entire population of the town will flock to the market to be whipped by Krampus and drink Glühwein until our toes all freeze and drop off (a genuine concern of mine last year). But more importantly it is time to break out the ugly Christmas jumpers.
This is my favourite jumper in the world that I did not wear nearly enough last year. My friend bought it for me for my birthday just a month after I arrived in Austria. It took months longer than planned to be shipped and my friend wrote a letter of complaint to the company afterwards as it was just so super ugly. Complete with plastic snowflakes and red knitted pom-poms.
Basically the point is please don't buy a mass produced ugly Christmas jumper this year. If you're going to join the ugly jumper convention this Christmas do it right.
